How to Choose Interior Wall Panels
“Interior wall panels” is not one product. A villa TV wall, a hotel corridor and a meeting room share a category name and almost never share a core. Start with the room, then open interior wall panels.
Split the interior into jobs
- Close-range feature — mineral honesty or a designed relief. Flexible stone or a considered PU. Not the cheapest PVC print.
- Linear warmth — WPC or wood slats. Confirm the room is dry enough for that core.
- Reverberation — wood-slat acoustic or PET. A hollow flute is not an acoustic specification.
- Wet overlay / fast renovation — PVC when the existing face is sound. See renovation.
- Flat, cleanable planes — bamboo-charcoal or a sealed mineral, not open-pore stone in a dining splash.
Hotel and office pages break this down by zone. Do not copy the lobby mineral into every guest room.
Questions that decide the core
- How close will people stand?
- What does housekeeping wipe with?
- Is there a fire or acoustic file required for this occupancy?
- Is the substrate flat, dry and able to hold adhesive or clips?
If you cannot answer those, send photos and the room name with a sample request. We will return two or three cores, not twenty colours.
Common mistakes
- Specifying exterior MCM on an interior drawing because the sample is handsome
- Buying UV marble for a meeting room that needed absorption
- Mixing two flute cores on one elevation without a designed joint
