How should you review the physical sample?
Compare the sample under project lighting and beside adjacent finishes before approving the colour. Inspect the face up close and check the intended texture direction on the wall.
- Record the finish reference and photograph the chosen orientation for later reference.
- Note any difference that needs clarification before order approval.
- Keep the approved sample reference with the order so the selected finish can be traced back to your decision.
Separate finish approval from wall approval
A sample helps you select the finish. The installed wall also needs a substrate, adhesive, joint and edge-detail review against the selected product instructions. Include a wall photo and substrate description with your request.
For exterior walls, request review of the exact product, complete assembly, exposure, documents and local approval. Accepting the sample colour does not establish exterior suitability.
