Quality Control

How HeyMaterials controls quality: sample-first ordering, pre-production confirmation, per-batch inspection against approved samples, and documented evidence before shipment.

Quality Starts With a Physical Sample

Our quality process is built on one principle: no order goes into production without an approved physical sample. Photographs and spec sheets cannot capture the color depth, texture, and build quality of a wall panel. So before anything else, you receive samples, evaluate them in hand, and approve the exact material you expect to receive. That approved sample becomes the contractual quality reference for everything that follows.

Pre-Production Confirmation

Before a production run starts, we confirm the full specification against your approved sample and order details: material series, color and texture, dimensions and tolerances, surface finish, and packaging requirements. Ambiguities get resolved at this stage — in writing — not discovered at the port. For custom items, first-run pieces are checked against the sample before the full batch proceeds.

Per-Batch Inspection

Every production batch is inspected against the approved sample before it is released for packing. Inspection covers:

  • Color and texture consistency — batch pieces compared directly with the reference sample
  • Dimensions and flatness — measured against the confirmed specification
  • Surface quality — checks for defects, damage, and finish faults
  • Quantity and packing — counts verified, packaging checked against export requirements

Batches that do not match the reference are reworked or rejected before shipment — not negotiated after arrival.

Evidence Before Shipment

You should never have to take quality on faith. Before goods ship, we share inspection photos and reports so you can review the batch against your sample from your own desk. If something looks off, it gets addressed while the goods are still in China — where fixing a problem costs days, not a contested container on the other side of the world.

Acceptance Documentation Support

For project buyers who need formal handover paperwork, we support the acceptance process with the documentation trail from your order: approved sample records, confirmed specifications, batch inspection reports, and shipment photos. Where a project requires specific third-party testing, we will tell you honestly what is available for the material in question rather than inventing certificates — and help arrange testing where it is genuinely needed.

See the Standard for Yourself

The best way to judge a supplier's quality bar is to hold the material. Request samples of the panels you are considering, or get a quote and we will walk you through how the quality process applies to your specific order.
