Overview
Flexible stone is supplied in multiple formats rather than one standard sheet. Dimensions, thickness and weight can change by collection, texture, backing and production method, so the approved SKU data should control design and procurement.
Nominal versus actual dimensions
Use nominal values for early planning only. Before shop drawings and quantity take-off are finalized, confirm manufacturing tolerances, joint widths, edge trimming and the actual coverage per packed unit.
Weight must be stated on a clear basis
Ask whether weight is stated per panel, per square metre or per carton, and whether it includes backing, protective layers or packaging. Structural and logistics decisions should use the same basis.
Project submittal checklist
Request the product code, face dimensions, nominal thickness, area weight, tolerance, carton quantity, pallet configuration and the revision date of the data sheet.
